Wooden door painted with tempera

My first thoughts and initial inspiration: “I saw it while driving around. A green wooden door resting on a green dumpster. It was drizzling. The car into reverse, clumsily parked, parking lights flashing, a signal of joy. When I approached it, I saw the pinned painting of purple mermaid. Painted in the style of byzantine iconography. As if its creator, a modern iconographer, tired of the numerous stylistic restrictions, decided to revolt, to become a sinner by using this sacred style to paint a naked mermaid. Risking a punishment. Perhaps his punishment was exactly that: to throw this beautiful green door together with his artistic creation.”
